CAMEROON MISION SEPT. 2015 UPDATES

Where we have come from:

It all started like a joke but the Lord is working something excellent out of it. It was in November 2010 that I was commissioned by Pastor Ngum Eric of Victory Baptist Church to do a feasibility study and select with the collaboration of the Bethel Baptist Church in Ngashie beneficiaries of a Scholarship Scheme Ministry. Finally, in June 2011 the Ministry of Victory Baptist Church began in Africa, Cameroon at the village of Oku with 15 students benefitting from the scholarship scheme program. We paid the school fees these students and bought books and uniforms for them for the school year 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and this year 2015 is the fifth year that Victory Baptist Church is paying the school fees of these beneficiaries. As we enter this fifth year the number of 15 students has been maintained as some graduate and others take their place. Some of the beneficiaries have graduated and are now working and sustaining themselves and families. It is hard to imagine how the lives of these students and their families would be now if VBC had not been divinely placed in their path? To God be the glory and on VBC more blessings so they can bless more needy children and families in Cameroon and elsewhere.

Where we are right now:

Clevis Ngalla did a wonderful job in his defense.  He defended on the topic, THE IMPACT OF LAN NETWORK and he did an excellent job. Mbuh Mercy, and Dom Solange have recently completed their Higher National Diploma (HND) Exams organized by the Government of Cameroon. Pastor Ntumbi Etienne is through with his studies and will be graduating in December 2015. His four children are also faring up well. Pastor Ntumbi Etienne has also been called to serve as senior pastor in one of the CBC churches. Jude Ngum is awaiting his Advanced Level Certificate Examination. Malvis, Mabel, Joyceline, are all awaiting their Middle School and High School government certificate exams. Ferdinand Ndikwa will be advancing to his last year of middle school due to ill health last year. It is thanks to the assistance the church provided that paid for his Medical Bills that he is now able to go back to school Again, thank you VBC. Confidence is moving on well and by the grace of God she will be going through her last year of a first degree in nursing this 2015 / 2016 Academic year.

A difficult moment

As life is made up of ups and downs, one of the beneficiaries by name Randi Yancho dropped out of school for no just reason. He abandoned his school after we paid his school fees in December 2014 and left Oku. We trust God that He will direct him and the love we have shown him in the name of Jesus will continue to minister to him. Through much prayer and God’s kindness he is back and ready to continue with his studies this academic year.

Where we are going next:

Find here included the budget for the next school year. It contains the specific amounts for each student both in Cameroon Francs and in USA Dollars.

See separate attached spread sheet.

Again, I want to thank God for using you. These beneficiaries cannot write their history and your names will not be mentioned. To God be the Glory. Have a wonderful time in the presence of God.

NB: Due to a great exchange rate $4,500 will actually be 2, 500,330 in CFA Franc. It means after paying the students fees we will have some balance in the account for emergencies. Thank you all for your generous giving to support the needy in the village of Oku, Cameroon, Wes
